Liftbrief / Scorecard
What weights should buyers use?
Choose the profile before opening bids. Use the same profile for every candidate in that decision. Do not compare scores calculated under different profiles.
| Criterion | On-demand charter | Card or membership renewal | Fixed-deadline mission |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Operator assurance and accountability | 15 | 15 | 15 |
| 2. Aircraft and mission suitability | 15 | 15 | 20 |
| 3. Comparable total cost and value | 15 | 10 | 10 |
| 4. Disruption recovery | 15 | 15 | 25 |
| 5. Cancellation, change and substitution protection | 10 | 10 | 10 |
| 6. Access and purchasing-model fit | 5 | 10 | 5 |
| 7. Prepayment, counterparty and exit exposure | 10 | 15 | 5 |
| 8. Insurance and contractual risk allocation | 5 | 5 | 5 |
| 9. Service execution, privacy and records | 5 | 3 | 3 |
| 10. Business justification and alternatives | 5 | 2 | 2 |
| Total | 100 | 100 | 100 |
The smaller business-justification weight in the programme and fixed-deadline profiles assumes that the underlying travel requirement has already been approved. It does not excuse the absence of a business case.
For ordinary charter with no continuing programme balance, criterion 7 still applies: assess booking deposits, cancellation liabilities, refund arrangements and the duration of exposure. Do not automatically mark it not applicable.
