Liftbrief / Direct questions
1. How much does it cost to charter a private jet?
There is no reliable total price without a route, date, passenger load and aircraft requirement. As an initial reference, Paramount Business Jets’ pricing page, updated 13 October 2026, publishes the following base hourly ranges; these are one broker’s indications, not a market-wide benchmark. (paramountbusinessjets.com)
| Aircraft category | Published base hourly indication |
|---|---|
| Turboprop | USD 2,300–3,500 |
| Light jet | USD 3,750–4,200 |
| Midsize jet | USD 4,700–5,500 |
| Super-midsize jet | USD 6,200–7,500 |
| Large jet | USD 8,500–10,000 |
| Ultra-long-range jet | USD 12,000–17,000 |
The supplier describes these rates as including aircraft, crew, baseline fuel and insurance, with taxes and trip logistics added when applicable. Do not treat the table as an all-in trip budget. (paramountbusinessjets.com)
For a usable budget, request three separate figures:
- The confirmed price for the stated itinerary.
- Charges that remain conditional or unpriced.
- The cost and responsibility if the itinerary or aircraft changes.
Ask the supplier to state whether quoted flight time is fixed or reconciled after the trip. Your approval should identify the exact airports, travel window, passenger count and aircraft assumption to which the price applies.
Next action: send the same mission brief to each shortlisted supplier and ask for a total, not another hourly-rate estimate.
