What does this mean for aircraft management costs?

A management review should examine the full staffing responsibility, not just the pilot’s advertised salary. The recent Solairus Client Aviation Manager description included personnel oversight, training coordination, scheduling, expenses and anticipated relief needs. Its broad company-wide compensation disclosure is too wide to price those responsibilities reliably for one account. (careers-solairus.icims.com)

For an aircraft management cost or supplemental-lift review, request an account-level schedule covering:

  • dedicated versus shared personnel;
  • salary or contractor costs attributed to the aircraft;
  • benefits and incentive arrangements included in the allocation;
  • initial and recurrent training;
  • relief coverage and recruitment costs;
  • approval rights over new positions or compensation changes;
  • the circumstances that trigger supplemental charter.

These are proposed reconciliation fields, not assertions that every manager charges each item separately.

Recommended budgeting model: distinguish recurring personnel expenditure, variable compensation, training, relief coverage and one-off recruitment costs. Do not label an advertised salary as the complete cost of employing a crew member, and do not infer the owner’s annual aviation budget from it.
