7. Does a Phenom 300 have more baggage space than a Citation CJ4?
The published comparison depends on the exact variant and the definition of baggage space. Embraer lists 84 cubic feet of baggage and stowage volume for the Phenom 300E; Textron’s current CJ4 Gen3 page lists 77.1 cubic feet of baggage volume and a 1,040-pound baggage weight limit. Those figures alone do not establish which aircraft can carry your bags. (embraer.com)
| Published figure | Phenom 300E | Citation CJ4 Gen3 |
|---|---|---|
| Volume description | Baggage and stowage | Baggage |
| Published volume | 84 cu ft | 77.1 cu ft |
| What still needs checking | Compartment allocation and loading | Compartment allocation and loading |
These are manufacturer specifications, not evidence that either exact variant is available for your charter. Do not silently apply a current-generation page to an older aircraft bearing a similar model name.
For a live comparison, send both operators the same baggage manifest and ask:
- Which compartments will hold each item?
- What are the opening dimensions and individual compartment limits?
- What storage remains after onboard equipment and supplies?
- Does the complete passenger-and-baggage load affect the proposed fuel plan?
A loading confirmation for the offered aircraft is more useful than a small difference in advertised volume.
