Liftbrief / Readiness quiz
What does your total score mean?
First apply the holds in the next section. Then use the score band. These bands describe the maturity of the decision file, not a probability of safe operation, on-time arrival or financial savings.
| Total | What the band means | Recommended next step |
|---|---|---|
| 0–14: Define the decision | Too much of the purchase rests on missing information or assumptions. | Complete the mission brief, identify the approver and establish a preliminary budget. Seek information and conditional proposals rather than making a new non-refundable commitment. |
| 15–26: Build a comparable evidence file | You have useful inputs, but not yet a dependable basis for choosing between them. | Normalise the quotes, map counterparties and request the missing contractual and operational evidence. Keep uncertain charges visible. |
| 27–35: Resolve the approval conditions | A substantial decision file exists, but material review work remains. | Assign every unresolved issue an owner and deadline. Obtain targeted operational, insurance, legal or financial review rather than repeating broad supplier searches. |
| 36–45: Ready for documented approval review | The file may support a decision, provided every question scores at least 2 and no hold applies. | Present the comparison, accepted exposures and remaining pre-flight conditions to the authorised signatory. The decision may still be commercial travel, no renewal or a different aircraft. |
Low-answer override: if you score 36–45 but any question scores 0 or 1, your status remains conditional—resolve the weak item. Do not describe the result as approval-ready.
Incomplete override: an unanswered question leaves the assessment incomplete, even if the arithmetic falls in a higher band.
